Mar 22nd, 2016 Weather Conditions

Spring like weather that plagued us all of February has continued into the first half of March.
The El Nino has favored the N Colorado mountains for that period and looks to continue that way for a bit.
We (the San Juans) have only been dusted, and literally dusted from desert sand getting entrained in the edge of troughs and associated high wind events.
This is happening as I type. All tough some light snow will fall tonight in high wind from the SW. Not much hope for healing on this one.
This weekend holds higher hope for a real snow event.
Currently, troughs are dropping in from the NW but being shunted just N of our bailiwick.
The N mountains have done quite well in the last week with nearly 4′ @ Winter park!
Late March dumps look hopeful or April storms for boating.
